The State Bar of New Mexico honors the passing of former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, the inspiring first woman to sit on the Supreme Court, who passed away on Dec. 1 at the age of 93.

State Bar of New Mexico President Benjamin I. Sherman stated, “The State Bar of New Mexico honors the life and legendary career of former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. I’m sure many of our members will fondly remember when Justice O’Connor joined us for our Annual Meeting of the State Bar of New Mexico in 2007. We were honored for the opportunity to learn from one of the greatest trailblazers of the United States Supreme Court.”

The New Mexico legal community honors Justice Sandra Day O’Connor’s commitment to justice in the United States of America as a lawyer, politician, and jurist who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1981 to 2006.

Below are photos of former Justice Sandra Day O’Connor attending and speaking during the 2007 State Bar of New Mexico Annual Meeting at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero, N.M.
