Your Fastcase Member Benefit Will Transition To vLex Fastcase On Nov. 19

Did you know that the State Bar of New Mexico offers free and unlimited access to a legal research platform? We are excited to announce that starting Nov. 19, your Fastcase member benefit will transition to vLex Fastcase. This improved legal research platform includes all the materials you currently access on Fastcase, plus new features designed specifically for attorneys. With vLex Fastcase, you can cancel your subscription to Westlaw or LexisNexis and redirect those funds to other valuable resources.

Imagine the possibilities:

  • Comprehensive Legal Resources: Gain access to an extensive collection of U.S. case law, statutes, regulations, journals, and news, all in one place.
  • Advanced Citator Features: Utilize the Cert citator, which provides a list of negative treatment (i.e., “bad law”) and all other citing references to a case. You can also browse sources by jurisdiction and save frequently accessed documents for quick retrieval, then download or print documents directly from the interface.
  • Seamless Workflow Integrations: Effortlessly integrate your legal research with Microsoft Word and Google Chrome for a more efficient workflow.
  • Cost Savings: By using vLex Fastcase through your State Bar of New Mexico membership, you can cancel your costly LexisNexis or Westlaw subscriptions and redirect those funds to other valuable resources, such as Vincent AI for workflow AI capabilities.
  • Enhanced Research Capabilities: vLex Fastcase includes a streamlined, user-friendly interface, a customizable news feed, and featured libraries to keep you updated with the latest legal developments.
  • Research Support: Connect with our research and technical professionals who are available by phone, email and chat.

No action is required from you today. In the coming weeks, we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to access vLex Fastcase directly through the State Bar of New Mexico's website. You will continue to have access to the existing Fastcase platform during this transition period to ensure your work remains uninterrupted.

To help you make the most of this powerful new tool, we invite you to join an upcoming livecast webinar. During this session, vLex Fastcase will demonstrate the new features of the platform and show you how to maximize its potential for your legal practice.
