Tax Law Section

About the Tax Law Section

The general purpose of the Section shall be the promotion of the objectives of the State Bar of New Mexico within the particular fields designated by the name of this Section. To that end, it shall be the purposes of this Section:

A. To expand tax knowledge among Section members;
B. To act as liaison between the Bar and public officials involved in the taxing process; and
C. To enhance tax awareness of the Bar and general public.

Want to join the Tax Law Section? You have two ways of doing so!

1. Still need pay your licensing fees? Simply check the Tax Law Section when completing your Licensing and Renewal forms. Join as many sections as you’d like while you are there!
2. Already paid your dues for the year? Login to your Member Dashboard (see top of screen). Navigate to ‘My Groups’ and click ‘Join Section/Voluntary Bars’. Select Tax Law Section and to pay the dues and join. You can join any section or voluntary bar at any time.
