The Basics of Trust Accounting course fulfills the requirement of Rule 17-204 NMRA, effective Dec. 31, 2016, that an attorney take a trust accounting class once every three years, or within the first year of being licensed in New Mexico, and is one of the Disciplinary Board's ongoing programs designed to educate attorneys on proper practices and procedures. The Center for Legal Education is the only approved course provider. Any version of this course taken prior to January 2017 or from another course provider, will not count towards the requirement. Taking this course will also apply 1.0 EP credit towards your yearly compliance.
